This diagram shows UKCeB's Council, Executive Director and Task Force in the context of related organizations and programmes.

UKCeB's activities and programme of work is governed by Governance, comprising Senior representatives of the Lead Sponsor organisations, the UKCeB Executive Director, and representatives from the three founding Trade Associations. The UKCeB Executive Director is then responsible for discharging the agreed priority activities through the full-time Task Force and the Working Groups.

For collaborative working with UK MOD, there are 2 further elements to UKCeB's governance regime - the Joint Information Group (JIG) (comprising Strategy, Portfolio and Communication elements) and the Defence Reference Group (DRG).

The joint MOD/Industry Structure (see diagram below) comprises a JIG Strategy Board, a JIG Portfolio Management Board (PMB) and a JIG Communications Delivery Board (CDB).

The JIG Strategy Board meetings are held half yearly, alternating with the JIG Communications Delivery Board (JIG CDB). The JIG Portfolio Management Board (JIG PMB) meets quarterly. Information about all three JIG Boards is listed in the relevant sections within Governance. This revised JIG structure took effect from autumn 2009.

As a pre-cursor to the bi-annual JIG Strategy Board meeting, there is an industry-only Defence Reference Group (DRG), the membership of which is drawn from UKCeB's Lead Sponsors.
