 | Defence Codex - National Security Through Technology29 May  Issue 11 of the Defence Codex - the magazine for Defence Engineering and Science - has a heading ‘Open for Business’ and develops a theme based on the Government’s policy on ‘National Security Through Technology’. In particular, there are sections on support and encouragement to Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) - e.g. article on ‘what the Government Says on SMEs’ (page 16-17). The foreword says, “The essential science and technology budget has been protected and maintained at a minimum of 1.2% of MOD’s overall budget, meaning an investment of well over £400 million per annum; exports will receive additional support and SMEs will benefit from a number of measures that recognise their important contribution to UK defence and security. “The success of MOD’s Centre for Defence Enterprise has been recognised and it will broaden its scope, providing even more services and encouragement to SMEs wishing to develop a relationship and do business with MOD. “ [ All items... ] |
